We are delighted to present the new group show NGURA WIRA (GOOD COUNTRY). A group show of new work from leading Art Centres across the APY.
‘Ngura Wiru translates from the Pitjantjatjara and Yangunytjatjara languages to ‘Good Country’ or ‘Beautiful Country’.
It is a significant cultural expression, reflecting an enduring, profound connection to Anangu law and creation stories. It is a phrase used in Anangu art to describe ancestral homelands, the vitality of the land and deep cultural connections to their country.’
Please note there may be some variation in colour to images presented online. Happy to assist with additional images or information on request.
Thank you to the artists and Art Centre partners – Iwantja Arts, Mimili Maku Arts and Tjala Arts – for the opportunity to present these works.
Show opening Friday 4th September 2026
